Walnut Table with Wiggly Line

The top of this table was initially destined for the burn pile, but was too wonderful to let go. Bow tie inlays hold the split steady, while a small triangle inlay on the edge stands in for some torn out grain. The top has a slightly wavy gouge texture. A wiggly line runs around the edge, where you’ll also see a split in the top glued back together and held in with a couple tiny poplar dowels (see pics 4+5). A piece with a lot of personality! A good side table and a not terrible stool! Finished with tung oil and brown wax.
