This store is primarily focused on wooden things, though you can buy a record here if you like. Store updates are occasional and erratic. The best way to find when a new batch of work has been posted is to follow me on Instagram. The second best way is to sign up for my newsletter. Please see the bottom of this page for some FAQs.

ORDERING INFO

  • The kitchen wares I make are meant to stand up to daily use for years to come. To ensure their longevity, always wash by hand and avoid soaking in water for long durations. That is the most important advice I can offer.

The oil finish (usually Half & Half oil from Real Milk Paint Co) that was initially applied will eventually fade. While not critical, keeping your wooden kitchen things oiled provides some protection against stains, odors, and cracks. An easy option for re-oiling is to pick up some "cutting board" or "butcher block" oil from your local hardware store. Any oil that is “Food Safe” or “FDA Approved for Food Contact” will work, and there are merits to using all sorts of different oils, including hemp, walnut, flax, pure tung, and more. It's best to avoid oils like olive or canola as they will go rancid. If you are especially curious, a quick Google search will lead you to countless articles and forums wherein wood enthusiasts make cases for what finish they think is best. It is a dizzying rabbit hole to go down.

  • I am happy to discuss any and all commission concepts, whether it’s making a huge custom set of spoons to outfit your whole kitchen, or working together to create a specific cooking tool that doesn’t quite exist yet. I am also available for commissions beyond the realm of spoons, including custom furniture. Please get in touch and we can discuss your vision.

  • If your order is meant to be a gift and you would like it wrapped and/or accompanied by a particular message, please let me know.

  • Your order will typically ship within 3 business days of ordering. Almost all orders ship via regular USPS. If you require expedited shipping, get in touch - I may be able to make it happen.

International shipping usually costs a lot and takes awhile. I wish it were cheaper and faster!

  • If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, you are welcome to return it within 7 days for a full refund (minus shipping costs both ways). I can only accept returns of unused items. If you decide you don’t want a spoon after you’ve used it to stir your famous garlicky pasta sauce, it will be too late.

All utensils and kitchen wares come with a one year warranty. It is hard to predict how a piece of tree will react to being turned into a spoon, and on rare occasions, issues may arise. Please get in touch if you have a problem with your purchase and we’ll get it resolved.
