In September I moved to Brattleboro, Vermont, a decision that I have been very pleased with. Part of my motivation to move here was so that I could teach in a new program started by my friend Jackson Emmer called Free Is Art. The purpose of the program is to provide free music lessons to those who otherwise would not be able to afford them. We are currently fundraising for our winter session, so if you or someone you know might be interested in donating, don’t hesitate to get in touch!
I have also been working on a new batch of songs (with words) in preparation for a late 2011/early 2012 release. Most of these can be found in various states on youtube. Here is a playlist of them. I would appreciate any feedback as always.
Along with a great old-time fiddler named Zac Johnson, Jackson and I have formed a group that has been playing regularly throughout the Brattleboro area. We are called STRING BAND, and we sound kind of like this.
Be sure to check the live page for upcoming gigs. There are plenty there and more getting added all the time. I have indicated there whether the show is a solo performance or one with STRING BAND.
