I am thrilled to announce my inclusion on the recently released compilation, Imaginational Anthem 4: New Possibilities. Put out by one of my favorite record labels, Tompkins Square, the series is dedicated to showcasing the work of solo acoustic guitarists mainly performing in the “American Primitive” vein. Past volumes have included contributions from guitar heroes past and present, from John Fahey, Peter Lang, and Robbie Basho to Jack Rose, Glenn Jones, James Blackshaw, Kaki King, José Gonzalez and many many more.
Imaginational Anthem 4 is exclusively focused on works of the present and the list of players is one that I am honored to be a part of. Amongst the tracks are compositions from Tyler Ramsey (Band of Horses), William Tyler (Lambchop, Silver Jews), Micah Blue Smaldone and seven others (myself included). The gatefold LP (limited edition of 500) and CD are created by artist Paul Romano.
I encourage you to pick up both the new volume as well as the prior three (bundled here as a very reasonably priced box set), which I consider to be essential listening.
